well a great deed! If we can go on this process it would be more useful for the society!
-- Contributed by: oshiThank you for your comment, Shannon, uncrumpled paper does certainly take up less space. You have raised an important point.
-- Contributed by: K PullenWhile crumpled paper can be recycled, it is more space efficient to put uncrumpled paper in the paper recycling bin.
-- Contributed by: ShannonThank you for your question. Crumpled paper can be recycled. Good luck with your recycling effort! Kate
-- Contributed by: K PullenCan crumpled copy paper be recycled? I'm leading a recycling effort at an elementary school and want to encourage the most effective effort possible. Thank you very much!
-- Contributed by: JeanieThank you for your question. This is very difficult to answer as the length of time that it would take someone to use a pound of paper would depend on the job that they did, weight of paper used etc. An interesting way to get some further information would be to ask a company, or a number of companies, how much printer and copier paper in weight it purchased a year and divide this by the number of employees. This would only give a broad headline figure, but would at least be a benchmark. There are other ways that data could be collected - photocopiers, for instance, record the number of copies made. If this was multiplied by the weight of a sheet of paper this would give the total weight of paper used over a given time period. Good luck finding the information you require. Kate
-- Contributed by: K PullenI was wondering if you had a timeframe of how often an employee uses a pound of paper. The fact is good it just seems as though it is missing something. We are trying to educate our employees on why recycling is important, so I just want to make sure I have complete facts- and I think this one is very relevant. Thanks
